Making the Opportunity Center a reality required the commitment of our whole community. Investments in the Opportunity Center are investments in the health of our community by assisting those most in need. We hope you will choose to continue your support of the Opportunity Center and offer several avenues for your charitable donations.
1. The Opportunity Center Endowment Fund: Donations to the Opportunity Center Endowment Fund will provide support for the following priorities established by the CWG Board: a) Pay non-staff operating costs for the first floor services center so that nonprofit service providers can be present in the Center without having to pay rent; b) Provide rent subsidies for residents of the Opportunity Center apartments who have extremely low incomes; and c) Seed the initiation of new services or the expansion of existing services at the Opportunity Center.
Brochure: Please read our Opportunity Fund brochure (PDF, 1.0 MB).
2. The CWG Operating Fund: To support the on-going operation of the Community Working Group, the nonprofit established to build and oversee the Opportunity Center. Operating expenses include such items as monitoring and evaluating the management of services and housing at the Center, advocating for affordable housing for low-income individuals and families, collaborating with other organizations in development of such housing in the Midpeninsula area, processing donations, maintaining the web site, designing and publishing newsletters, and responding to requests from our donors, our partners, and the community.
3. The InnVision Services Fund: To support services provided at the Opportunity Center by InnVision, the lead agency managing the services center. Donations given to this fund will be passed on to InnVision.
4. The Opportunity Health Partners Fund: To support health and psychiatric services provided at the Opportunity Center by Opportunity Health Partners (OHP). Donations given to this fund will be passed on to OHP.
Named gifts: There are multiple naming opportunities for interested donors at the Opportunity Center. These include specific rooms in the building, programs/services, and staff positions. If you are interested in hearing about these naming opportunities, please contact us.
