Facilities and Services
The building at 801 Alma Street will contain 16 three-bedroom apartments, 26 two-bedroom apartments, and eight one-bedroom apartments. The structure will be four stories, with one level of underground parking.
In addition to the 50 apartments, 801 Alma Street will also have generous common spaces, including a lobby that opens onto the corner of Homer and Alma, a community room, a computer classroom, a spacious outdoor courtyard with a play area for children, management offices, bike storage areas, and a laundry room with an outdoor deck.
An elevator will serve all floors including an underground garage with space for 60 vehicles. Six guest parking spaces will be conveniently located behind the building at street level.
Eden Housing Management, Inc., an affiliate of Eden Housing, will provide professional management for this development. Eden Housing Resident Services, Inc. (EHRSI) will provide a range of supportive services and enrichment programs designed to meet the needs of a diverse resident population. EHRSI's resident services coordinators are on-site to offer important information and referral services and to implement key programs, including: youth summer and after-school activities, an innovative computer-assisted learning program, a scholarship program for deserving residents, financial literacy training, and community building activities.
In addition, Eden Housing will implement its exemplary Digital Connectors Technology and Leadership Program that trains young people between the ages of 14 and 20 in the areas of technology instruction, tech support and solutions, video production, entrepreneurship and youth leadership development.
